Senator Carroll Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Apache Attack Helicopter, Honoring America's Defense Strength

PHOENIX, ARIZONA— Majority Whip Frank Carroll is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopter, highlighting the aircraft's vital role in strengthening America's national security and supporting the men and women of the U.S. military. Speaking to community leaders, veterans, and aerospace workers, Majority Whip is emphasizing the Apache's enduring legacy as a symbol of American innovation, defense readiness, and unwavering commitment to freedom.

At a celebration last week at Falcon Field, engineers, active-duty personnel, state and federal lawmakers, and local officials gathered to honor the aircraft's history and the workforce that continues to support it. Developed in the mid-1970s and produced for decades at Boeing's Mesa facility, the AH-64 Apache has become one of the most advanced attack helicopters in the world.

"It's an honor to stand with the dedicated Arizonans and military personnel who have helped make the Apache a global symbol of excellence," said Majority Whip Carroll. "For 50 years, this aircraft has protected American lives and advanced our national security, and I'm proud to support the men and women who ensure it remains the best in the world."
