FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Senate passes bill to provide COVID liability protections to Arizona businesses and health care workers

(Phoenix, State Capitol) ---- A bipartisan group of Senators today passed SB 1377, the COVID liability protection bill. SB 1377 provides targeted and reasonable liability protections for businesses, schools and the healthcare industry. The bill now moves to the House of Representatives.

"With this bill, a plaintiff has the burden to prove by 'clear and convincing evidence that a person or provider failed to act or acted with willful misconduct or gross negligence' in order to win a civil suit," said Senator Vince Leach, sponsor of the legislation. "If a business is following health and safety precautions, they shouldn't have a worry about being the target of a nuisance lawsuit."

At least 25 states have taken action to extend liability relief in this pandemic.

This seems like another good move in the right direction. . .

However, we still need to keep the focus on Election Integrity and a Full Forensic Audit of the Maricopa County Ballots, Machines, and Scanned Images. As Arizona Citizens, we cannot rest until we know exactly what happened on November 3rd!
