PHOENIX, ARIZONA— Senate President Warren Petersen is marking the passing of former state attorney general Robert Corbin, who died today at the age of 96.

"Arizona lost a giant today in Bob Corbin," said Petersen. "Corbin will always be remembered for his service to our state, defense of the most vulnerable among us, and the offices of public trust that he left better than when he found them. In many respects, he was a pioneer of Arizona law and order, helping to bring the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and Attorney General’s Office into the 20th century to facilitate justice for helpless victims and deserving criminals alike. I am grateful for the example this great man left behind – one that demands emulation from all public servants across our state, regardless of political affiliation. He will be missed, and his memory will be honored for generations to come."
