Arizona Republican Leaders Unite on Balanced Budget Featuring "Arizona One Big Beautiful Bill"

PHOENIX, ARIZONA— Senator David Farnsworth, Chair of the Senate Appropriations Transportation & Technology Committee, and Representative David Livingston, House Appropriations Chairman, are working as a unified team to advance a balanced budget that delivers real tax relief for Arizonans. Together, they are leading a plan to align Arizona's tax code with federal tax reforms from President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill, providing an estimated $1.1 Billion in tax savings for Arizonans over the next three years.
At the federal level, President Trump's tax reforms provided certainty for taxpayers and expanded relief for working families and small businesses, fueling economic growth nationwide. This legislative session, Arizona lawmakers are moving to align state tax policy with those reforms to ensure consistency, competitiveness, and long-term fiscal accountability. Lawmakers aim to modernize the revenue system by aligning key provisions of the state tax code with federal changes, while safeguarding revenues and ensuring a balanced budget.
Senator J.D. Mesnard and Representative Justin Olson have introduced mirror legislation, SB 1106, and HB 2153. Chairman Livingston is promoting these proposals as the "Arizona One Big Beautiful Bill." Today, both bills had their first hearing in a Joint House Ways and Means Committee, marking an important step toward helping Arizona families keep more of their earnings.
