We talked with Republican Senate President Karen Fann. She represents District 1. We discussed what is going on in the legislature. We ask Fann about access to election ballots. She said she thinks there is a misconception about what is going on. She said they have people advocating to just mail out ballots to everybody whether they want them or not. On the other side of the aisle, there are members that believe that The ballot is secret and should be secure. She said we should make sure that the people voting are the people that can legally vote and are alive. Fann said many of the proposals going through right now is to secure them a little bit better. She said they have a good system right now but she said they also have affidavits where ballots were mailed to vacant lots. We ask why these bills are a good thing. The Senate president said she doesn’t agree with all of them and some of them are a little bit over the top. She does think it is important to make sure that the person that is legally registered to vote to gets their ballot and gets to vote. She believes it is important for elections to be true and honest without mishaps.
We ask why cutting the time allowed to send ballots by five days is being considered. She said it is because the members are trying to close the loopholes. She said some of them are good ideas and some of them are not. We ask if this is happening because Trump did not win the state. Fann said this has been going on for a while and so it has nothing to do with what went on in the past two. She responds to people calling them voter suppression bills and why she thinks this term is not accurate. We ask why it is important to mess with the voting system when it is supposedly strong and accurate right now. She said it is because it is not fully secure and they are trying to make it even more secure. She said the ballots to go to an empty lot, if there is someone there to get them, no one knows what they do with them. Lastly, we ask if a forensics audit is still needed for Maricopa County mail-in ballots. She said “absolutely” because she is getting hundreds and hundreds of emails every day about how people don’t trust the system anymore. She believes if there are that many people that have questions about the system, it is their duty to get those answers for them.
She said they have a good system right now.
WHAT? THE system is NOT GOOD NOW!!!how can she say the system is " good"? It was a total DISASTER, THATS NOT GOOD!! I can guarantee you, the Democrats are so far ahead of Republicans, plsnning the next outbreak, roadblock or manufactured scenerio, for a reason for mail in ballots & no VOTER I.D.!! COME ON MAN!
I dont understand why she ONLY mentioned ballots going to an empty lot🤔? That was probably the WEKEST EVIDENCE of all, even though it happened, it was the least of the corruption that there is evidence of!!! WHY ZDO THE REPUBLICANS not make STRONG ARGUMENTS?? are they afraid to tell the truth???
Are they intimidated? Or do they not wanna really fight thd fight for the people & rock the boat with the democrats?
This IS the problem!! Keep fighting for Marjorie Taylor Green to keep her seat. The democrats fear her & thats what is needed. Do not let them destroy her! We need grit!!
Why do so many politicians, and those in the press, seem content to turn a blind eye to this issue? To vote in AZ (or anywhere for that matter) you need to be able to demonstrate that you are legally authorized to vote. This means you have been clearly identified (with Authorized/Approved ID) as legal citizen of AZ, registered in a timely matter, and you cast your (one and only) vote in accordance with the law.
To suggest that everything worked perfectly in the last election, and that there was no evidence of fraud, is either naive, disingenuous or dishonest. Without resolving these issues, faith and trust in the elections are questionable as we learned in November!

Thank you for working to secure the integrity of our elections. I agree with Paul; voting should be done in person or by absentee with a valid reason. Taking time to do so is the least we can do to preserve the liberty, freedom and prosperity our Constitution intended to provide.
Quit playing softball with these guys! We need to know only legally, registered voters, vote and only once! It should be done in person and absentee, with a valid reason, like we used to have to do and there were no problems or cries of voter suppression! That is a purely liberal argument used so they can do exactly what they did, steal an election! Trump didn't lose AZ!!!
