FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sen. Wendy Rogers calls for withdrawal of Arizona School Boards Association from National School Boards Association
(Phoenix, State Capitol) --- Senator Wendy Rogers today responds to the National School Boards Association (NSBA) letter to President Biden encouraging law enforcement action against concerned parents:
“In light of the out-of-touch and deceitful letter sent by NSBA, I am joining forces with fellow legislators and calling on the Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA) to immediately withdraw from the organization. NSBA, after likening parents to domestic terrorists, has no business speaking for Arizona. Now is the time for courage and I, along with my colleagues, encourage ASBA to act quickly.”
“Parental involvement in the delivery of education of children is a fundamental right and public engagement should be encouraged – not threatened by federal investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, Education, Homeland Security and the FBI. School boards should be open to questions and concerns from the community, and should not discourage nor disparage input from parents.”
