Senator Brophy McGee and Arizona Humane Society to hold Cuddle Bunch Adoption Day at the Senate

Senator Kate Brophy McGee and the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) have come together for the first-ever Cuddle Bunch Adoption Day at the Arizona State Senate. AHS will be bringing a few of their adoptable, furry friends to the Senate lobby and volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions involving the adoption process. Last year, Senator Kate Brophy McGee sponsored SB 1101, which the Governor signed as HB 2523; spay and neuter; tax checkoff. With the passing of this legislation, a person may now donate a portion of their tax refund to the Companion Animal Spay and Neuter Committee. The Committee is responsible for donating the money to programs and non-profits that reduce pet overpopulation by sterilizing dogs and cats.

The Humane Society plays a critical role in the Valley by caring for sick, injured and abused homeless animals through their animal rescue and cruelty investigations, as well as its trauma hospital. AHS also focuses on keeping pets in homes through its Pet Resource Center and was able to provide resources to 17,000 pet owners last year alone.

“In our commitment to end animal suffering, homelessness and needless euthanasia, the Arizona Humane Society has saved an additional 60,000 pets over the past four years,” said AHS Spokesperson, Bretta Nelson. “Our Cuddle Bunch events are a perfect way to celebrate those survivors, as well as the joy that pets bring to our lives, while also finding them their forever homes.”

"I am excited to be partnering with the Arizona Humane Society and joining their mission of advocating for and educating about adopting rescue animals," said Senator Brophy McGee. "The passionate folks who volunteer and work for all our Arizona animal shelters and advocacy groups do so out of pure love, and I hope that all our furry friends who are here for the Cuddle Bunch are adopted by equally loving homes."

The Arizona Humane Society Cuddle Bunch Adoption Day is from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Wednesday, February 14 in the Arizona State Senate lobby.

Brought home a rescue pup a few months ago, and figuring out her diet was a rollercoaster. She had digestion issues from day one, so I started testing higher-quality food options that weren’t loaded with fillers. While narrowing it down, I went through the farmers dog reviews to understand how others were managing similar problems with their dogs. A lot of users shared how their dogs adjusted, what results they noticed, and whether it was worth the cost. That helped shape my expectations and avoid blindly ordering something that might not suit her needs. Eventually landed on a routine that finally keeps her tail wagging — and her stomach calm.

Compatible Pet Feeder

I currently have a hopper style automatic pet feeder. I have it scheduled to dispense measured portions of food at different times of the day. This feeder is completely autonomous and not "smart".

Are there any pet feeders that can be integrated into Home Assistant without requiring soldering or fiddling with the ESP device?

To integrate a feeder with Home Assistant, you can recollect models from WOPET. They have feeders with Wi-Fi which can be easy to attach without complicated settings. For example, an automatic pet feeder allows you to remotely manipulate feeding, putting the time and quantities via the app. This is convenient for monitoring your puppy's nutrients, even while you aren't at home, and you may also obtain notifications.

WOPET models are really easy to integrate with Home Assistant, and the presence of Wi-Fi in the feeders makes the process even easier. The ability to control feeding remotely via an app is a real step forward in convenience.
